Shilajit and Ashwagandha - why this is a great complementary supplements combo?

Stress in our life is getting more and more every day. Not all people are ready for an unexpected flow of fears and negative emotions. How to keep calm in an acute situation and how to deal with chronic anxiety attacks?

A proven method for reducing stress and restoring the balance of the body is unique natural remedies such as Ashwagandha and Shilajit. But can they be consumed together for better effect? Let’s try to explore this frequent question.

What is Ashwagandha and what are its benefits for our health?

The name of the remedy came from India (from Sanskrit “Ashwagandha” is a” "the smell of a horse"). Also sometimes this shrub is called "winterberry" and "Indian ginseng".

For several millennia, the powder from the roots and leaves of this plant has been used in Indian medicine to relieve stress, increase immunity, body energy, and concentration. And today Ashwagandha is available in the form of supplements, and numerous scientific studies confirm that "Indian ginseng" is really useful for the body.

Many medicinal properties of the plant are explained by the high concentration of withanolides - Vitaferin A and Withanolide A, (natural steroids) named after the plant itself. These bioactive molecules have a beneficial effect on metabolism, the level of hormones, and neurotransmitters.

In a 2008 science experiment, taking 125-250 mg of Ashwagandha for 1-2 months significantly reduced the symptoms of chronic stress: improved sleep and appetite, removed constant fatigue, irritability, and forgetfulness, headache and difficulty concentrating.

The same effect was observed in a later study. Two months of taking 600 mg of the supplement per day increased the participants' ability to withstand stress and improved their quality of life.

Since Ashwagandha raises testosterone levels and improves muscle sensitivity to insulin, it has a good effect on strength indicators. In one study, taking 0.75-1.25 g of Ashwagandha per day for a month helped participants significantly increase the strength of the back extensors and quadriceps - muscles on the front side of the thigh, as well as increase grip strength, increase muscle mass, and reduce fat percentage.

Healing properties of Shilajit and stress reduction.

Shilajit is a natural mineral-organic complex that includes more than 50, and according to other sources, about 85 minerals, vitamins, essential oils, proteins, amino and fatty acids. All these elements have an extraordinary value for the human body, which is proved by the 3-thousand-year history of the use of this healing substance.

Scientists and doctors do not know of any other substance similar in composition to Shilajit. It is not surprising, because all nature is involved in the formation of it: soil, climate, vegetation, and living organisms of the mountains.

The composition of the Shilajit includes:

  • Amino acids are responsible for protein metabolism. Their presence in the body helps to preserve the beauty, produce collagen, and stay young longer.
  • Humic acids are the most powerful antioxidants that cleanse the body of decay products;
  • Flavonoids relieve inflammation, strengthen the heart and vessel;
  • Essential oils to maintain vitality and reduce stress.

By increasing the immune responses of the body and stimulating the process of bone tissue regeneration, Shilajit increases the effectiveness of other medicines, including Ashwagandha.

The combo of Shilajit and Ashwagandha is a double blow to stress.

Both of the above remedies have a natural basis, they work at the biological level, reducing stress, restoring the balance of neurotransmitters and having a beneficial effect on the general condition of the human body.

The combo of Shilajit and Ashwagandha is an effective remedy for recovery from mental and physical fatigue, neuroses, sexual and cardiac weakness. Such a combination of natural remedies can increase mental and physical performance after severe illnesses, injuries and surgical interventions, as well as with asthenic conditions during the off-season, with a sharp change in the weather, with a change in climatic conditions.
