How to take Shilajit? Should you take it with water, tea, or maybe coffee?

Altai Shilajit is a natural and pure product. To date, no specific contraindications to the intake of mountain resin have been identified, however, with excessive or prolonged use, unpleasant sensations and allergic reactions may occur.

It is important to understand that Shilajit is a powerful biological stimulant and, when interacting with drugs, can lead to unpredictable consequences. That is why we strongly recommend that you consult your doctor before taking this remedy.

In each case, the doctor prescribes the dosage and method of consumption, but there are general recommendations following the body weight. Today we will look at what people drink Shilajit and which from this list is the most suitable option for your health.

Water.

A proven classic. Regardless of the form in which you use the Shilajit(pure resin, tablets, or pills), water is the best option to take this remedy.

It is recommended that a single (not daily but single) dose of Shilajit is not to exceed 0.2-0.25 g for people weighing up to 70 kg, 0.3 g - up to 80 kg, 0.4 g - up to 90, and 0.5 g for those whose weight exceeds 90 kg. You need to take Shilajit with water on an empty stomach after waking up and before going to bed no earlier than 2 hours after dinner.

Carbonated drinks and alcohol.

Absolutely not! These drinks can not only reduce the entire effect of the remedy to zero but also cause serious harm to the body. Alcohol paired with Shilajit can lead to the development of stomach ulcers. Don’t do it.

Juices and other soft drinks (not carbonated).

Doctors can recommend this option to patients with gastritis and ulcers: organic natural juice envelops the walls of the stomach, thereby reducing the irritating effect of the natural remedy. However, the therapeutic effect of the Shilajit may also decrease, and this must be taken into account. It is undesirable to drink Shilajit tablets with fruit based drinks - fruit acids can change the pharmacological effect of the drug.

Milk.

With inflammatory and allergic chronic diseases, sore throat, runny nose, upper respiratory tract catarrh, cough, you can take Shilajit with milk.

Medicinal product with a dose of 0.2 - 0.3 g. mix the mixture with warm milk and honey, and take it orally before going to bed in a ratio of 1:20. In total, 1 - 3 courses of treatment are needed, depending on the form of the disease. The course of treatment should be continued for 25 - 28 days with a 10-day break. This is typical for India, Russia and many other places where Shilajit (mumijo) is common.

Herbal Tea

This traditional drink, beloved by everyone, has more than once become a companion of drugs in our bodies. In tandem with Shilajit, tea creates a great duo for those who care about their health.

Coffee.

Some people take the Shilajit with a cup of strong coffee. With coffee, the taste of Shilajit is definitely better: this natural remedy gives coffee an interesting aroma and a unique flavor.

According to reviews, Shilajit is best combined with such types of coffee as:

  • Americano;
  • Espresso;
  • Long black;
  • Macchiato;
  • Flat White.

The choice of coffee as an additive to the Shilajit is a personal preference for each person. It all depends on your tastes, daily routine and commitment to a healthy lifestyle.

Many people think that drinking coffee Shilajit is not correct, since coffee in large quantities negatively affects human health. However, this is all an outdated stereotype - you can drink the Shilajit with whatever you want (of course, except for alcohol!). This unique remedy is very well absorbed by the human body.
